A <strong>completely revised list page<\/strong> is about to come to life, and that\u2019s where you come in! We need you to tell us what\u2019s hot and what\u2019s not, so please take part in out <strong>beta test<\/strong> and <strong>make your opinion count<\/strong>. You\u2019ll be first in line to see and test your Shop in its brand-new guise.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You can now access the beta (test) version of your Shop by replacing the URL element <strong>&#8220;shop&#8221;<\/strong> in front of .spreadshirt with <strong>&#8220;shopbeta&#8221;<\/strong> (i.e. shopbeta.spreadshirt.com\/SpreadShop).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please leave any feedback in the comment section below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For <strong>the whole month of February<\/strong>, you can try out the beta version. We\u2019re planning to release a revamped Shop view <strong>in the beginning of March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class='wp-caption alignnone sprd-caption'>\n<div class='wp-caption-inner'><picture><img src='https:\/\/images.spreadshop.com\/image\/upload\/f_auto,q_70,t_postImgF_d\/v1622823560\/blog\/1_MDS-727-BP-SpreadShop-LP-beta_CW5_tcw9xw.png' alt=''\/><\/picture><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Some of the improvements include:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Better performance and shorter loading times<\/li>\n<li>Relevant search results and less empty searches\/error pages<\/li>\n<li>The size and colors options are visible under each product<\/li>\n<li>Size and colors can be filtered from list page (introduction likely coming after the beta test)<\/li>\n<li>Easy navigation thanks to Breadcrumbs<\/li>\n<li>Improved ranking on Google and other search engines thanks to upgraded meta data and schema.org support<\/li>\n<li>Social media integration with Open Graph protocols<\/li>\n<li>Intuitive filtering on mobile devices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Shopowner with your own CSS?<\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019re defining completely <strong>new CSS classes<\/strong> for the new list-page version, and it\u2019s already in place in the beta version. Now, you can define separate \u201cHTML &amp; CSS\u201c styles in the CSS field of your extended Shop Settings, both for the current version and the beta version.<\/p>\n<p>These new definitions <strong>may not work with your current CSS<\/strong> on the beta version\u2019s list page. In this case, they will<strong> also not work in the upcoming version after the release<\/strong>. This may necessitate adjusting your layout ideas to the new classes.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we\u2019ll respond to feedback and suggestions as we continue to improve the system throughout the beta phase. This means that the beta version may receive another overhaul by the time it goes live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019ll only be implementing changes through the first half of the month.<\/strong> To give you a chance to adopt to the changes, we\u2019ll only do dramatic HTML and CSS changes in exceptional cases in the second half of the month. Otherwise, you\u2019ll see relatively minor revamps during the latter half of February.<\/p>\n<h2>Shops tied in with JavaScript<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Embedding with JavaScript<\/strong> is also possible with the beta version. Just create a new page in your webspace and copy over the embedded code. Now change the JavaScript code from shop.spreadshirt to shopbeta.spreadshirt \u00a0so that the beta version is completely embedded.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s next?<\/h2>\n<p>The new list page is a milestone on the path to the perfect SpreadShop.\u00a0 We\u2019ll keep improving the list page after the next release in early March, including improved filtering of colors and sizes.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, we\u2019re already tackling the next challenge!
