If your Shop loads slowly when you link to it from social media, you might be using an old URL structure. Here\u2019s what you can do to fix it.<\/p>\n

In 2018<\/a>, we taught you how to improve the URL format for your Shop. Here\u2019s a little refresher\u2026<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve been a part of the Spreadshop community for at least five years, you\u2019ll remember the old structure used to look like:<\/p>\n

name.spreadshirt.co.uk<\/pre>\n
name.spreadshirt.com<\/pre>\n
This old format can still be used, but automatically redirects to the new URL format:<\/p>\n
shop.spreadshirt.co.uk\/name<\/pre>\n
shop.spreadshirt.com\/name<\/pre>\n
After January 1st<\/sup>, 2021, the old URL format will no longer be automatically redirected.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Why URL structure matters<\/h2>\n
Having the most current URL structure is important, because it allows your customers to get to your Shop faster. If you\u2019re still linking to your Shop with the old URL structure, you\u2019ll want to start using the new one:<\/p>\n
https:\/\/shop.spreadshirt.com\/name<\/pre>\n
Important update<\/h2>\n
The previous Shop URL structure looked like: https:\/\/spreadshop.spreadshirt.com<\/a>. This URL structure will no longer work after January 1st<\/sup>, 2021.<\/p>\n
You should update your Shop links on Facebook, Instagram, blogs, etc, before January 1st<\/sup>, 2021.<\/p>\n
