Unboxings, product reviews and merch drops have dominated YouTube since the early days. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An interactive \u201cShopping button\u201d now makes it easier for your followers to shop directly from your videos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When creators tag products in their videos, a Shopping button will automatically appear. This directs people to your shop and allows you to focus on selling products instead of directing people where to click.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creators can now craft better content around their products and showcase what\u2019s special about them on YouTube. It\u2019s more than just promoting your products &#8211; it&#8217;s about telling a story!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See how you can start selling your products on YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Link your Spreadshop to tag products<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Link Your Store From Mobile\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DF8rtDH5d3M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtube\/answer\/12257682?sjid=8556739974829649878-NA#eligibility&amp;zippy=%2Cchannel-eligibility-to-promote-your-own-products\">Eligible creators<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> can link one or more shops to their YouTube channel when they go to the Shopping Tab. Once there, simply click the CONNECT SHOP button to link your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spreadshop.com\/?affiliateid=13593\">Spreadshop<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once linked, you can select the products you want to show on your channel, or let YouTube automatically select them for you. We recommend displaying your latest merch drop or seasonal products here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selected products will appear by default in the product shelf and in your channel store.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s a Product Shelf?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A product shelf allows your viewers to preview items in your store and shop while watching your videos. It appears below or next to eligible videos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If viewers click an item, they may get a preview of the item directly on YouTube. Otherwise, they are redirected to the landing page of your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spreadshop.com\/?affiliateid=13593\">Spreadshop<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All channels that have a product shelf and at least 1 item eligible to be displayed automatically get a Store tab on their Channel homepage. The channel\u2019s store shows all the products that are currently displayed in the product shelf.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Tag products from videos and Shorts<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tag Products\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_-BC8d_TzUE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You don\u2019t have to create new content if you don\u2019t want to; you can tag products featured in existing videos and Shorts. Access the product tagging tool from the video details page in your Studio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the Video details tab, click on \u201cProducts\u201d to open the tagging tool and select a product featured in your videos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creators can tag up to 30 products on one video or Shorts by dragging and dropping products in the selected product box. Click \u201cSave\u201d to apply tags to video or Shorts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Tag products from your store on mobile<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To tag products featured in existing videos and Shorts from the mobile app, creators can access the product tagging tool from the video details page located in your YouTube Studio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creators can tag up to 30 products on one video or Shorts by clicking on the \u201c+\u201d sign next to the product offer. On either mobile or desktop click \u201cTag products\u201d to open the tagging tool and select the product featured in your videos<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What your viewer sees<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once creators tag a product, a shopping button will show up in the content, making it more visible for the viewers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If viewers click an item, they may get a preview of the item directly on YouTube. Otherwise, they are redirected to your store.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Tag products in live streams<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tag Products Before A Livestream\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CmZWlLkTmco?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the live is set up, creators can finish preparing the live stream by selecting products they want to feature in the stream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At any point during the live stream, creators can pin any of the pre selected products to prominently display it to their viewers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Viewers will see a product list entry point on the chat engagement panel or action bar. Once creator pins a product, Viewers will see featured products prominently as video overlay banners* on mobile (instead of a pinned message in chat).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*The pinned product banner will still be displayed in the chat on desktop.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Check Your Analytics<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With this launch we will introduce new metrics in the Shopping tab and YouTube Analytics to enable creators to track their product impressions and clicks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following metrics will be available in YTA page in M1:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Total product clicks\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Impression\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Top performing products by clicks<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/partner.spreadshirt.com\/shop-register\/?affiliateid=13593\">Start selling on YouTube when you open your own Spreadshop!<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Selling products on YouTube is nothing new.
