We have been looking at transferring our storefront to here from Redbubble, mainly due to the better integration of the storefront to our other platforms.
However, there appears to be a major dealbreaker and that’s the lack of colour options for a lot of products and the almost complete absence of Purple. As it is our IP’s signature colour, it’s a problem.
Is this an option that is likely to be added soon? Are more options on the way?

I fear I can’t promise you anything in this regard… Nevertheless we do offer some purple Shirts and Hoodies for Men, Women and Kids. 
I’d suggest you used rather basic colors, such as white & light grey and use the purple in your designs. This way you can also guarantee that the purple has the right tone. Hence it’ll not just be “a” purple but YOUR purple.
