Important Spreadshop March 21st COVID-19 Update

A few days ago, we brought you up to speed on our blog. In the spirit of transparent communication, we would like to continue to share with you the most recent developments of COVID-19 concerning Spreadshop.

What’s happening right now?

As of March 20th, 2020, Spreadshop has temporarily closed both its production facility in Greensburg, PA, and Henderson, Nevada, USA. This closure is in response to the executive order by Governor Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania and Governor Sisolak of Nevada to suspend all non-life-sustaining businesses in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. More information about factory closures can be found here and here. Businesses who ignore this will be faced with civil penalties and revocation of business licenses. Unfortunately this also means, that we currently cannot process any orders of your customers for your .com, .ca and .co.au Shops. This is being communicated to your customers in the check-out of your shop and in a banner on all shop pages. As soon as at least one of our production facilities is allowed to reopen, your customers will be able to order again. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but the safety and health of our employees and their communities is our top priority during this challenging time. We’re confident that we can get through this together and appreciate your patience. In the meantime please send any of your questions or concerns to contact@spreadshop.com, contact us on our forum or comment below.

Information for our European platform

A majority of our employees had already began working from home since beginning of March. We have been able to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to provide services for you and your customers. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have prioritized our employees’ safety while protecting our business. We have done this by minimizing the potential impact on our processes and services. For example, our remaining European production sites are currently all still operating at their normal level of efficiency. Lastly, our customer service remains fully operational. Delivery time has been prolonged by two days to every country, as we are encountering delays at the borders. The global Spreadshop team is working tirelessly on solutions.

We’re happy to help and answer any questions in the comments or in our Forum.

We all have a shared responsibility to reduce the impact of this virus. Spreadshop is embracing its responsibility and taking all necessary actions to do our part in this effort. We remain alert and ready to adapt our measures in light of new developments.
