We’ve all been there: a customer orders a black t-shirt featuring a black design. The customer returns the products and asks for a refund, leaving you with less commission and an unnecessary headache. Fortunately, we’ve resolved this issue. By adding a color restriction feature to the partner area, you can be assured that certain product colors won’t be available.
Thanks to the new feature, you can now restrict a specifically-colored product from being sold. Don’t want your design to be included on a black hoodie? When editing the placement of your design on a certain product, a simple click of the “Disable colors” button will make this possible.
Of course, there are important things to remember when restricting a specific product color. Generally, if you drastically limit the number of product colors, you’ll likely see a negative impact on sales. Customers appreciate choices, so allow them to make the decisions for themselves.
Please note that the t-shirt designer in your shop and on the marketplace will still show all available colors.
Furthermore, if you decide to restrict a specific color, make sure you’re staying up to date on the latest product news and color deactivations on our blog. Failure to do so could lead to a broken product.
Go check out the feature for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
Would be greate if I could make these changes on several products at the same time. Its a pain to edit 50 different shirts.
i said wait i just started wait i got to get use to everything
why can’t we do it on phone cases?
Phone Cases currently only exist in one color which is why this feature isn’t needed for this specific product!
I can’t find this feature. Help!
Are you sure you are using the partner area, or might it be that you are using our legacy user area: https://help.spreadshirt.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008117274-Legacy-User-Area-and-Partner-Area ?
