With a shiny new Spreadshop to help raise funds for charity, the upcoming #BEGOOD event will be facilitated by former wrestler and host of the Talking Tough podcast, Rick Bassman. This digital event is sure to be a knockout!
What’s #BEGOOD all about?
You might be familiar with the pressure society puts on women to look, think and act a certain way. Similarly, men experience social norms that require them to not only be ‘masculine’ but to act macho, have big muscles and hide their emotional struggles. In his upcoming event, Rick Bassman will facilitate a conversation with a diverse group of men who will flex their knowledge about life, masculinity and vulnerability.
For their event, #BEGOOD will be selling merch with Spreadshop and donating the profits to charity. To support the cause, we’ve made sure the host and participants have merch from the #BEGOOD Shop.
What charities will the donations go towards?
These so-called ‘tough guys’ will be raising money for the National CARES Mentoring Movement and LiveFreeUSA. Founded after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the National CARES Mentoring Movement is dedicated to mentoring vulnerable youth by offering guidance, education and support. LiveFreeUSA is an organization working towards equal justice and opportunity for communities in need.
When and where is the event?
The inaugural #BEGOOD event can be streamed live on Saturday, June 20th at 5 pm PDT/ 8 pm EDT. You can livestream the event via the Talking Tough website, Facebook or Instagram.
The event is hosted and moderated by Rick Bassman and his podcast Talking Tough. The event is produced by Tim Prokop and sponsored by Swig Media & Purspek.
You can purchase a ticket for the event here. The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Live Free and the National CARES Mentoring Movement.
Unable to attend the event but still want to contribute to the cause? They will be collecting funds via the #BEGOOD Spreadshop. The profits from items purchased in their Shop will also be donated.
