As the number of legitimate users and calls rise in an API environment, so does the number of illegitimate users. Our public API has increasingly fallen victim to deliberate malpractice recently. In order to ensure safety for yourself and your customers, we feel impelled to limit access to the API path in question. Effective Monday, 20 November, we will take precautions by limiting the API rate.
This is the path for which access will be limited: /api/v1/sessions
Rate limiting will happen automatically, which may restrain the functionality of some applications or scripts in exceptional cases.
This measure is designed to prevent abuse and ensure stable performance for all partners. Rate limiting will occur automatically and may, in rare cases, restrict the functionality of certain applications or scripts that make an unusually high number of requests.
If you operate a legitimate integration and anticipate that your usage may exceed the new limits, you can request to be added to a whitelist. To do so, please email cooperations@spreadshirt.net with your Partner ID and the IP address of your system or application.
