How to Order Samples from Your Shop (2021 Update!)

How to Order Samples from Your Shop (2021 Update!)

Holding your own products in your hands and seeing your designs in the flesh—receiving your first samples is a very special moment. Learn how you can get your product samples at a reasonable price.

One of the most important rules of sales is: know your product. Of course, this also applies to you as a Shop Owner. You should know what you’re offering your customers in order to sell it well. How does the material feel? How does the print quality look in real life? Are there any design tweaks that still need to be made? You can only answer these questions once you have held a shirt featuring your design in your hands and experienced it for yourself.

It’s also special to see your own design on a product. Not to mention that you can do great advertising with the finished product, such as with your own photoshoots. We would love to be able to provide free product samples to all our Shop Owners, but because our shop system is completely free of cost for you, free samples are not part of the deal. However, you can still get samples of your products for cheap! Here’s how.

How to order sample products from your own Spreadshop (2021 Update)

  1. Be sure you’re logged into your account.
  2. Select the preview of your shop. (Shop icon)
  3. Browse your own shop and select the products you want to buy at base prices.
  4. The final base price for your item will be reflected in the final checkout. (see walkthrough video)

Happy selling!

hey so I bought a hoodie for sample matters but it didn’t reflect the base price. I had to go back to my settings and change the price and be able to get the manufacturer price tho. any comments on that matter ?

I’m guessing the update is, “We deleted the video and just wait for the markup to come back to you in your commission?” That’s cool, I suppose.

It says to see walkthrough video but there is now link? Each time I try to place an order, it isn’t showing the correct price at final checkout.

I’m a partner and the sample price for partners does NOT reflect in the final price

This info appears out of date or incorrect as no ‘design price’ value is accessible from the design view. When removing the design margin in the ‘edit price’ window, the site doesn’t seem to refresh to the new prices immediately. Thus creating a problem if customers go on the site while ordering. Is there another SIMPLER way of ordering samples without paying full retail??

“Click on the design view in your backend and activate the checkmark in the upper left corner of the design you want to order. Click on the design price in the bar above and set it to 0 €.”

Hey Teri! You’re right, this article is a bit old now! But glad you found it. Will update it ASAP!
For any shop owners to order directly from their shop, just be logged in, order from your account and you will only be charged the base prices at checkout. ?

This still doesn’t seem to be accurate. My shop is in preview mode, I have not launched it, and after reviewing my order in checkout, I am being charged retail pricing.

Welcome 🙂

PS: If you are logged in while making a purchase in your Spreadshop the affiliate commission and the design price should be automatically deducted 🙂
