New Feature: Zip Code Statistics

New Feature: Zip Code Statistics

It’s finally here… Discover how zip code statistics can help you improve your marketing, tailor your designs and learn more about your customers.

What’s zip code statistics?

Before when a customer placed an order with your Shop, you were only able to see the country they were from. Now you can see the country your customer is from and their zip code.

How can I use this to improve my marketing?

Knowing where your customers are from allows you to create more targeted and specific advertisements. For example, let’s say you have a lot of customers in California. You can now pay for advertising in the specific city where most of your customers are concentrated rather than pay for ads across the entire state. This allows you to find new customers while using your marketing resources wisely.

You can also use zip code statistics to understand your audience better. For example, let’s say you have a lot of international customers. It’s probably best to avoid offering designs only locals from your region would understand. By tailoring the types of designs you offer, you’ll be able to acquire new customers!

Here’s how you access zip code statistics…

  1. SpreadApp—download the SpreadApp and explore your ‘statistics detail view.’
  2. Partner Area—go to the ‘statistics detail view’ for both ‘sales’ and ‘credit’ to access zip code data.
  3. CSV file- go to the sales tab of your ‘statistics’ page, scroll to the bottom, download the CSV file.

Enjoy this new feature! As always, let us know in the comments below or the forum if you have any questions.

Hi, just a suggestion – it would be really useful to have a way to tell if the t-shirt sold was a customized product or a standard product from the shop. I would also like to know if it’s a new customer or a returning customer based on the ZIP code. These are important metrics for marketing.

Best to link your shop with Google Analytics. That will give you the possibility to see all the info about returning or new customers. I’m forwarding your request about customized product vs. standard product to our developers 🙂 Thanks for your feedback either way!
