FAQ

Take care of your community - we'll do the rest. As a team in personal support, in our tutorials, FAQs and blog articles.

Why does the embroidery service cost money?

In order to embroider your design, we need to manually recreate your vector file with special software so that it can be processed by our embroidery machines. For this service we charge 19,99€ per design.

Why do I need an embroidery file?

Our embroidery machines can weave threads with up to four different colours. In order for your embroidery design to come into its own, it can be composed of up to four different lines: the eventual yarns. These lines also need a clearly defined starting and end point. This information can only be stored in special embroidery files that get created by trained personnel.

What do I have to consider when creating my graphic file?

In order for us to convert your design into an embroidery file fit for production, you should observe the following file requirements:
Your motif must be in a vector file (max. 10MB, *.eps, *.svg, *.ai) and may consist of a maximum of 4 colours from our color palette.
The line width must be at least 2 mm or 5.66 pt. This also applies to the maximum size of 8 x 5 cm (WxH) for the embroidered design.
As usual with vector graphics, your design must not contain gradients, backgrounds or patterns. Also, all objects must be created in closed paths.

What colours can I use for my embroidery design?

You can use up to 4 different colours from our color palette for your embroidery design. The color palette reflects the color of our threads. You can find the exact color designations (incl. hexa color code) here:
White (#E5E1E6), Black (#25282A), Royal Blue (#004B87), Golden Yellow (#F6BE00), Red (#E03C31), Green (#006F44), Gray (#63666A), Orange (#F68D2E), Dark Red (#A6093D), Light Blue (#71C5E8), Purple (#330072), Pink (#DB0A5B), Magenta (#F59BBB), Brown (#A76D11), Navy (#002855), Light Gray (#B2B4B2), Neon Green (#97D700), Beige (#D7C4B7), Turquoise (#00A7B5)

How long does it take to create an embroidery file?

For the conversion of your vector graphic into an embroidery file we need about 3-5 business days. In addition, we need another 3-7 business days to test your motif extensively on all available materials and, if necessary, to optimize the embroidery file. After that, the embroidery motif is available to you in your partner area for the design of products.

What payment methods can I use?

You can use our embroidery service with the usual payment methods. These include credit card, Paypal, SEPA direct debit as well as prepayment.
Please note that with the payment method „Prepayment“ , the embroidery file can only be created when the payment has been booked with us.

What can I do if I don't like the embroidery file?

Our embroidery service is covered by the same fair exchange guarantee as all our products.
As soon as the embroidery file is ready, you will see it as a preview in your partner area. If you are not satisfied, please contact our customer service, if necessary the file can be slightly adjusted.

How sustainable are orders with Spreadshop?

Spreadshop helps you turn great ideas into great products - in no time at all. You sell your merch through a shop that’s always free of charge. It’s completely risk-free, because all goods are only ever made to order. We want our service to be good for you, but also for the environment. This way, we avoid a lot of waste from unsellable leftovers, while saving valuable resources.

What products can I get embroidered?

Thin materials can unfortunately not be embroidered. Currently you can embroider the following products: caps & hats, aprons and a selection of hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, polo shirts and pants. We reserve the right to adjust this selection as needed.

How big is my embroidery design on the product?

Your motif can be created in a maximum size of 8cm width and 5cm height. If you want a smaller motif, please note this in the ordering process. Please note, however, that the minimum line thickness of 2mm is not undercut.
Once created, the embroidery designs in your partner area are not scalable because each new design size would require a new embroidery file.

Can I download the embroidery file?

No, a download of the embroidery file is not possible. However, it is freely available in your partner area and can be placed there on any number of products approved for embroidery.
